Youth Employment Agency (YEA) Launches School Support Programme (SSP

 In acollaborative effort to address youth unemployment and enhance educational support in Ghana, the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has announced the launch of its School Support Programme (SSP). This initiative, in partnership with the Ghana Education Service (GES), is now open for applications. 



The SSP aims to recruit, train, and deploy young individuals to serve as School Guards, Kitchen Assistants, and Community Education Teaching Assistants (CETA) in basic and secondary schools across the nation. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to provide meaningful employment opportunities for the youth while also supporting the educational sector.


Eligibility Criteria


To qualify for the SSP, applicants must meet the following criteria:

- Be between the ages of 18 and 35.

- Possess a minimum qualification of Senior High School education.

- For those applying as Teaching Assistants, at least a Diploma from an accredited institution in Ghana is required.


Conditions of Application


Successful applicants will be engaged as beneficiaries of the YEA. The engagement terms include:

- A two-year contract of engagement.

- Deployment of selected Kitchen Guards to secondary schools with boarding facilities.
