Thomas Amoani, a graduate of the Free SHS program and recipient of a government scholarship, has achieved a First Class degree in Economics and Finance from Brunel University in London, UK.
Amoani, who completed Adeiso Senior High School in 2020 with an impressive 8As in the WASSCE, was awarded a scholarship thanks to the intervention of President Nana Akufo-Addo. This scholarship allowed him to pursue higher education at Brunel University, where he recently graduated with honors.
Thomas's situation came to the attention of President Akufo-Addo, who directed the scholarship secretariat to provide him with the necessary financial support to continue his studies. Following the President’s directive, Amoani was granted the scholarship and soon after, he began his studies in Economics at Brunel, a prestigious university in the UK.
Throughout his time at Brunel, Thomas Amoani consistently demonstrated academic excellence. In 2022, he was recognized as the top student in Economics at the university, and his outstanding performance continued through to his final year. He not only earned his degree with First Class Honours but also received the top prize in Economics and Finance for the 2023/24 academic year.
Amoani's achievements reflect his hard work and determination, marking a significant milestone in his academic journey.
