Lil Win called to ask for a favour - Martha Ankoma

Actress Martha Ankomah has revealed that she has never met her fellow actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, in person, though he once reached out to her for a favor.

In an interview on Accra FM on August 7, Ankomah shared that her only interaction with Lil Win was a phone conversation in 2019. She recalled that on April 27, 2019, at 10:38 a.m., Lil Win contacted her to request assistance in securing a deal with GTP, a textile company, to produce school uniforms for his school, Great Minds International School, located in Kumasi.

According to Ankomah, the school, which was established in 2018, was seeking a partnership with GTP in 2019. "I swear before God and man, I have never met Lil Win in person, and our paths have never crossed. The only time I spoke to him was when he called me for a favor," she stated during the interview.

Ankomah mentioned that she acted on his request by contacting GTP and provided Lil Win with a contact number to follow up.

This revelation comes in the context of a GHS 5 million defamation lawsuit that Ankomah filed against Lil Win, which became public in February 2024. The lawsuit relates to alleged defamatory statements made by Lil Win about Ankomah.

The case is currently in court, with a hearing scheduled for October. Despite rumors of a potential out-of-court settlement, Ankomah has denied any such discussions in an earlier interview.

Ankomah stressed that the single phone call was the only interaction she had with Lil Win and reiterated that they have never met in person. This highlights her past willingness to assist Lil Win, despite the defamatory comments he allegedly made about her.
