In an interview with Fox 5, the 48-year-old musician, whose real name is Adidja Azim Palmer, discussed his future goals. "Right now, I'm focused on my health, but the feeling of being free is simply incredible," he expressed.

"While there's room for improvement, I'm feeling really positive," he added, noting that he has already invested in a bike and a treadmill. "I’m diving right into it," the "Fever" singer said with a grin.

Kartel also revealed that during his time in prison, he struggled with Graves' Disease, an autoimmune disorder that causes the thyroid to produce excess hormones, leading to hyperthyroidism and speeding up various body functions. His attorney, Isat Buchanan, brought attention to this issue back in June.
