Benjamin Quashie, Chairperson of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Council of Elders in South Africa, has harshly criticized the government over the controversial 'Agyapadie' document.
Quashie contends that, despite President Akufo-Addo's denials, the document exposes a state-capture agenda involving the President and his associates. He described these actions as unpatriotic and driven by greed.
In an interview on Accra FM, Quashie also took issue with President Akufo-Addo's attempts to attribute the document to his political opponents. He pointed out a recurring pattern in the Akufo-Addo administration where entities owned by the President's family and friends seem to receive preferential treatment.
Quashie voiced concerns about the level of state capture under the current administration and called for a thorough investigation and reform. He expressed optimism that if NDC's flagbearer, John Mahama, wins the upcoming general elections, the incumbent government will be held accountable.
